Flash Memory Summit Launches Super Women in Flash Leadership Award

New Category Celebrates the Success of Women in the Industry and Encourages More Participation

SANTA CLARA, CA - May 30, 2018 - Nominations are now open for the inaugural Super Women in Flash Leadership Award at Flash Memory Summit (FMS), held August 7-9, 2018 at the Santa Clara CA Convention Center. The award is a new addition to the successful FMS award categories and is a complement to the annual Super Women in Flash session held at FMS.

"The SuperWomen in Flash activities at Flash Memory Summit celebrate our industry, its diversity in all categories, and creating a path for success for women in the industry," said Camberley Bates, Managing Director at Evaluator Group and co-organizer of the event. "The Super Women in Flash Leadership Award will honor a woman who has made unique and invaluable contributions to the success of memory technologies, serving as a role model to all who aspire to continued success."

The SuperWomen in Flash Leadership Award is open to women who currently or in the past have played a leadership role in the flash storage ecosystem. Both individuals and companies can nominate a candidate. Nominations are open until June 29, 2018 and may be completed via this link.

An independent panel of judges will review all submissions and select a winner, who will be announced and awarded at an FMS mainstage session on Thursday, August 9, 2018.

In related activities, all are invited to join the Super Women in Flash session at Flash Memory Summit on August 7, 2018 from 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm in the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara Cypress room. The session will feature a panel discussion with IBM, Intel, and Weka.IO; networking; and refreshments; with a reception in the Intel pavilion in the exhibit hall to follow.
