Map and Directions

Getting to the Santa Clara Marriott Hotel is simple (See Map below). It is just four miles from San Jose International Airport, and 26 miles from San Francisco International Airport. Note that a cab to or from the San Jose Airport costs $20, so you may prefer to rent a car (a cab from San Francisco would be outrageous). In either case, go to the Great America Parkway/Bowers Ave exit and head East (right if you’re coming from San Jose, left if from San Francisco). The hotel will be immediately on your right, but the entrance is on Mission College Blvd (a right turn at the first traffic light). Parking is free.

There is high-speed Internet access in all rooms (for the usual $9.95 daily fee). There is wireless access at a charge in the lobby area only.

The Santa Clara Marriott Hotel is an easy drive from most Bay Area attractions. Palo Alto and Stanford University are a half-hour drive, as are the shops and restaurants of Los Gatos and Saratoga. San Francisco is less than an hour away, as are Santa Cruz and the redwood parks in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Monterey and Carmel are about an hour and a half drive. Gilroy, the so-called garlic capital of the world, is a half an hour drive in case your desire is to have breath bad enough to drive away even the hardiest salesperson.
