Flash Memory Summit Builds a Stronger Program Development Team

Addition of three industry leaders to its program development team

SANTA CLARA, CA – March 21, 2017 – The Flash Memory Summit today announced the addition of three industry leaders to its program development team. With these additions, the conference now delivers even more value for attending system designers and users. The new team members are:

Kiran Gunnam, Technical Director of Algorithms and DSP at Velodyne LiDAR, will serve as the Seminars Chairperson. Formerly a technologist with Western Digital and HGST, Kiran is a widely recognized expert in error-correction coding with many publications on that subject. He has also been an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer and an Adjunct Faculty Member at Santa Clara University. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University.

Leah Schoeb, the founding Data Architect at Data Glass, will serve as the Updates Chairperson. Leah currently helps systems companies with performance engineering and optimization, market positioning, and benchmarking. She has worked on solid state technology for over 10 years with leading companies such as Intel and VMWare, as well as being a Senior Partner at the analyst firm Evaluator Group. She is an elected member of the SNIA Technical Council and a co-founder of their Solid State Storage System Technical Work Group. 

Jean S. Bozman, VP/Principal Analyst at Hurwitz and Associates, will serve as the Market Research Chairperson. Jean covers data center infrastructure, server and storage technology, software-defined storage, and software-defined infrastructure (SDI).  A well-respected IT professional with over 20 years experience covering worldwide server markets, she was previously a Research VP at IDC.
